Email to Families April 15, 2020
I hope this email finds you doing okay and keeping safe. Please know that your health and well-being comes first for us at Admiral Westphal School and we recognize we are all dealing the best we can with unique situations.
Our teachers are providing opportunities for your child to learn at home and each week send you a list of math, reading and writing activities. We want you to know that caring for your kids and supporting them through a difficult time is the #1 priority. This is an unprecedented health crisis that is impacting the whole world and it is important we keep that in perspective.
Please reach out to us if we can help in any way with this school work. We have staff who can email, call and video chat with your child to walk through any work or even to say hello to keep them connected to school. Let their teacher know if there are ways we can connect more with your child if you think this would be helpful to them.
Attached is a note from our school counsellor, Suzanne Thibodeau, who is available to all children in our school. If you feel your child would benefit from some emotional support during this time she can be reached by email or phone - please see attachment for contact information.
I hope you are all hanging in there. We are happy to answer any questions you may have – please feel free to reach out to our teachers, Mr. MacDonald or me anytime. We are here for you.
