Admiral Westphal Elementary

June update

Good Evening Admiral Westphal Families,
It’s been a very unusual and unpredictable few months and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of our Admiral Westphal families for their support and patience during this time. Our staff miss our students very much and are very hopeful we can spend our days together in September. Nothing official has been shared with us at school, but we will be sure to keep you up to date as soon as we know more.
On Friday, June 26, you will be emailed a link to view your child’s report card. Your password will be your child’s birthday and it will have to be entered in the following format: YYYY-MM-DD. For example, if your child’s birthday is October 19, 2010, your password would be: 2010-10-19.  It’s important that you put in the dashes between each of the dates.
These third term reports will not be the same as June reports in the past. There will comments for math and literacy that provide you with an overview of your child’s progress for the year, but no grades or developmental codes will be noted for this term.
Finally, we would like to say so long to our awesome group of grade 6 students. We sure will miss having their energy and leadership around Admiral Westphal. We know they are going to rock Junior High! If you have a chance, take a walk or drive by our main entrance of our school tomorrow afternoon and Friday to see our display of signs congratulating our students who are leaving. Thanks to our PTA for their support of this initiative!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I will be checking email periodically throughout the summer.
Have a wonderful summer and I hope you get to enjoy this lovely sunshine with your families!
